Importing Non-Standard Resolution AVI’s
I am currently working on a an on-screen tutorial video for our company. Our LMS has a maximum playback video resolution of 980×551. I would like to create my video files with a maximum resolution of 980×551, so that during the editing and compression phase of production, no scaling or pixel remapping needs to take place.
I am using Camtasia 7.0 to create my raw captures and then I’m converting the raw captures to Uncompressed AVI’s and sending them out of Camtasia so that I can edit my final project in Premiere 5.5.
However, when I try to import the Uncompressed AVI into Premiere, all that will import is the first 50 seconds of the AVI? I can play the entire 15 min AVI back in any media player I have installed; Windows Media Player, VLC, Quicktime etc. So I know the file was encapsulated correctly.
Is there a limitation in Premiere, that does not allow Non-standard resolution files to be imported? 980×551 for example?
Please help, under a very tight project timeline.
Thank you
