  • Importing MXF into Premiere causes crash

Posted by Timothy Kane on July 2, 2008 at 4:27 pm

    Hello,

I am new to the Premiere world.
New system. CS3 PP – Latest update (3.2)
    Running on XP.
    I downloaded Raylight.

When I try to import mxf files into Adobe, it crashes.
    Any ideas.

    Thanks.

Are those true P2 files ? That’s the only MXF format CS3 supports as far as I know. You don’t need Raylight for P2 in CS3. It could also be a corrupt file. Try importing them one at the time.

mxf files from a firestore fs-100 – transferred to the hard drive.
The firestore was in dvcpro50 p2 mode.

This might be a worthwhile question in the Firestore forum…

Does the Firestore format the file storage/folder structure the same way as the P2 cards do?

    i wonder if there’s an issue there…
