All of a sudden, for NO apparent reason, I’m getting this message when trying to import .m2v / .wav files into my project:

“file type is not supported”. Then, it tells me I need to get the decoder files.

So what is this all about? It still imports the .avi’s. And up til this point, I’ve been importing this type of file into Encore, with no problem whatsoever.

I have even gone into past projects, which have the .m2v files inside of them, and they play fine.

There has to be something missing here that I’m not aware of. Does anyone know what it could be?

    Hi Lisa,
are you sure that these files are valid MPEG2- and WAV-files for DVD?!

which version do you use? CS4 or CS5? how do you create these files?

maybe you messed up your adobe-suite.

    cheers

If you can import the old m2v files from those other projects into a new project without issues, but you cannot import the new m2v files, then there is likely something wrong with the way you encoded the new m2v files.

Also, if your wav files have more than 2 channels, or if they were created in Sony Vegas, they may not import into Encore.
