  Importing iMovie clips into Final Cut Express

  Hi, this is similar to JeffreyB’s question, but the scenario is different.

  I have iMovie 5.0.2 and FCE v2, and have a spare 70GB of disk space. When I import an iMovie project into FCE (File > Import) the files appear in the browser, but no Sequence, only clips. When I click on the clip entitled “Timeline Movie” (which is the duration of the iMovie project), an error message comes up (“General Error”), followed by another (“Out of memory”).

  I have no luck importing Quick Time files either, but that’s the less important issue.

  Any ideas gratefully accepted.
