    Importing Hitachi AVI to Sony Vegas Pro 12 problem

    When I try to Import the AVI files (shot on Hitachi DZHV593E camcorder) I get a ‘codec error’. The error message from Vegas Pro does not give any further details.

    I see the following info about the files via MediaInfo.
    Format = AVI
    Codecs Video = AVC
    Audio codecs = ADPCM

    Any ideas will be helpful.
