    hi,
i’m importing HDV tapes via FirewireBasic (auto-conversion to ProRes). When i go to the Capture Scratch i find out that all files have no .mov extentions (files are ok, i just need to add .mov extentions to each one..). any idea?

The Mac by default dors not add file extensions. You do not need to add them the computer can tell what type of file they are.

    Hi Gabriele,
In the Finder Preferences >Advanced, check “Show all file names extensions”.
    May works.
Is not FC who is working wrong.
FC, normally, shouldn’t have problem to identify any QT file without extension.
Is your System who is wrongly identifying the file.
Probably the “File Finder Info” is wrong.
DiskWarrior or TechToos should fix that.
