importing from photoshop (extra large images, aspect problem)

I am using FCP and motion with DVC PRO HD and animating.

In photoshop I am using default Film and video DVCPRO HD 1080p/29.97 preset.
the aspect is DVCPRO HD (1.5)

Whatever the pixel aspect ratio is set to in Photoshop there is no difference when inported to the timelines of either motion or fcp, IF set and left to 1280 x 1080. This is fine. I haven’t tried any other video software.

BUT if I make the photoshop image 2 up in scale ((doubling it) as I want to zoom right in to a tiny area in my animation,) the image comes in as if a square pixel image. not (1.5)

i.e. Photoshop or Fcp studio don’t seem to behave the same if my image is resized to double or triple etc. Is this a pshop problem or FCP studio?

    Thanks all….

Use teh square pixel size if you are not bringing it in at finished size…

    so 1920X1080 times 2 or 3
