I have an extensive assortment of clips that are in a final cut pro project and I now need to use them with Avid. They were shot on P2 so I have the data and media but the cards were recycled a long time ago. Is this possible and if so how… Rick Morris

If you have the data you are fine. The media you can’t work with. When FCP imports the P2 data it converts it to quicktime…proprietary quicktime…that other machines without FCP installed cannot read. But, if you have the P2 card dump…all the folders with the files that were on the P2 cards, then you can use those. Bring those over, and then go FILE>IMPORT P2>CLIPS TO BIN.
