    Hey guys

Strange things have been happening with my log and capture process from a mini dvd camera. I had put the video out from the camera to the input of my Sony Walkman and connecting a firewire from the Walkman to the computer. I changed my capture settings to a non-controllable device and it worked fine. Now, one week later, same process and NOTHING. I changed my setting on my Sony Walkman to Dv Out to “On” and nothing happened.

    Help!!

FCP can not capture from mini DVD camera. You will need to rip the DVD into an editable format that FCP likes.

I’ve already done it once Steve….Hmmm….I just hooked it up to a Sony Walkman and used the video out from the camera (dvd) into my input on my Sony Walkman

    Thanks

You are better off dubbing the video from the camera to the Walkman. You then will get timecode on tape in the event you need to recapture.

    Just my 2 cents.
