So I have some footage that I shot with my Canon HV30 and the settings are on HDV24 and my comp. out is on 1080i/480i. What type of setup should I use on FCP for my footage to look as best as it can??

    Thank you
    Jorge

ok. and can i do this with a basic firewire cable?? cause i tried that setup and it keeps tellin me that it does not connect or that its the wrong setup. ive tripled checked my connections and it seems ok, and im sure i shot on 24p. Could it be the firewire or is there something im missing??

    yeah regular cable.

on the canon cams you have to manually set the firewire output
    to HDV.

it defaults to AUTO and NEVER works that way.
