    Hello All,

I just had a Ross Soft Metal server installed. We want to use it as our program recorder in our production studio. All seems good with it, records fine and rolls in clips fine. Our problem is getting the recorded files into our FCP 7 editing stations. I have the SMS set to record using DVCPROHD compression, MXF wrapper.
The codec in the SMS is ( I believe a pinnacle DVH1, Ross is avoiding confirming that). It’s a DVH1 just not sure of the manufacturer. Tried calibrated Q MXF plug-in and ingests file and video is great but no audio!
I KNOW the audio is there in the file. Plays on the SMS.

Suggestions? Anybody work with a Ross Soft Metal Server before?
Support from Ross is difficult, Guy with heavy accent and can’t seem to understand I’m interested in getting things OFF it to edit!!!

Did you found a solution to import SMS media to your Final Cut Pro 7 ?
I try to do the same thing for my client.

    Thanks !
