importing FCP CMX3600 edl and it’s targa images in AVID

edl manager will make a sequence from your edl and you can import the tga files with an inverted alpha. Otta work fine.

Here’s the problem:
I can open the EDL in EDLmanager just fine.

But when I transfer it to Avid the computer freezes. I tried using other workstations and the same thing happens.

I’m just a newbie with this, does anyone know what could be the problem?

from plugins and filters to reel names being too long, it’s hard to pin point the prob from here.
Just out of curosity tho
why are you taking it from fcp to Avid?
just seems kinda backwards these daze.

I’m a subtitler working with Lemony Software to produce subtitles in Targa Images (FCP CMX3600) and EDL sequence for a client. The client uses Avid Xpress Pro.

Here’s the problem:
EDL manager successfully imports the sequence.
I create a new bin and put the targa images into it.

But how do I link the targa images with the sequence?

Right-click and relink doesn’t seem to do the trick.

Select all your clips and use the Batch Import function in the Clip menu.
