Normally I’m able to import video from DVDs into FCP just by importing the files from the disk and rendering them. Lately I’ve been running into situations on some DVDs where I can only play about 20 seconds of video that may actually be 30 min or longer.
I’ve tried other DVD ripping software and get the same results. Is there something else that I could try or could it be the way the DVDs were created. The DVDs have not been from the same source, but from 2 or 3 different sources.
Thank you for any help that you can give me.

I found that if you import a DVD file straight into FCP it gets a strange flicker/frild issue with any movment. It’s just as easy to recaputre the footage from a settop DVD player.

Checkout a program called Cinamatize. Don’t know much about it but I think it does what you are looking for.
