  • Importing .dpx files into Premiere Elements 7?

I am getting a 16mm film telecined and was wondering if it would be possible to import the resulting .dpx files into Adobe Premiere Elements 7 for editing? I am unfamiliar with the file format and haven’t been able to find much info about it. Thanks.

    No.

If you want to edit using DPX files, you’ll need an AJA card and Premiere CS3 or CS4.

You’ll most likely have to convert the frames to something else.

If I want to edit the footage in Elements 7, what is the highest quality HD file that can be imported into the program (video or individual frames)? (The film does not have sync sound)
