I just bought oneof those cheap composite video capture devices (Sabrent). Iy works fine with Ulead, Windows Movie Maker, VirtualDUB,
but I can’t get it to work with Vegas Pro 10e? The device is USB2.0 ATV and it shows up in Sony Video Capture but an error says the device cannot be opened and to make sure that it is turned on and not being used by another application or user. I checked all that and no problems. I also changed vidcap60.exe to run as administrator and Win XP compatibility mode (I seen this in another forum) with no help. Any ideas? I know I can use other apps to get the video but why add a step if Vegas can import/capture it?

    Thanks,

    Ray

PS: I just found that if I pick the WebCam device, I get the webcam video and the USB2.0 ATV audio?

Use any one of the programs you mentioned to do the capturing and then use Vegas to do your editing.

So you’re saying that Vegas can’t do it?

I think Sony has abandoned work on Video Capture (vidcap) in favor of Device explorer. Good luck finding a solution.
