    Hi,

I am importing a 2 hour Mpeg video clip and AC3 file into Encore to burn a bluray Disc.
When I import the video clip it honestly takes 5 minutes for the clip to load into encore and I cannot do anything else until the clip is fully loaded in. For this project I only have 1 video clip so I don’t mind waiting, but I need to know why this is so slow so I can stay sane when I need to import say 5 video clips in the future.

Any ideas? Anyone else ran into this issue?
    Thanks,

    Errol,

I may be late in this response, but hope this helps.
Files 2GB or larger will cause Encore CS5 to ‘hang’ or become very slow during import or drag and drop to the timeline – I found this to be a known issue/bug on the Adobe site, but cannot find a link to it now. If you split the files to < 2GB parts and then import them, it will work somewhat better – but it will still be slow.
