Importing: Apple ProRes 4444 Footage into FCP 6
Hi All,
I just received a project with footage that was shot on a RED ONE and then converted to the codec Apple ProRes 4444. This is my first time working with this codec and was having difficulties importing the footage via Log and Transfer. I can import the footage using “import” but I cannot find a sequence preset that allows me to work with footage as is, thus without having to render.
Any suggestions or solutions? Anything and everything helps.

ProRes 4444 was not created when FCP6 came out, it was released with FCP7, so I’m not sure if you would be able to use it in FCP6.

Hi Josh,
Please, don’t double post, and try to give accurate info.
Is not possible that you have converted any stuff to Prores444 with FC.6.
