importing 3d text
I admit I’m new to this. What 3d text and objects can I import into AE 6.5 and how do I do it. I’ve tried doing the text in Maya and Xara but that doesn’t seem to work. This seems like it should be simple.

You can only import 3D objects into AE via the Zaxwerks plugin.
Otherwise, you need to use your 3D app to render the 3D text as a movie or series of stills to be imported into AE.
