I want to import a 3D object created in maya into after effects so that it retains 3D qualities not just a flat picture. I am new with maya but have some experience with after effects. I tried using 3d invigorator but it is hard to draw complex shapes with the plug in so could someone point me in the right direction please

I am using after effects 7 pro and maya 7

    Thank you

the only way to have “true” 3D objects in AE is to use a plug-in like invigorator. You should be able to export your model from maya and then import it into invigorator…..i’m not sure exactly of the steps to take, but if you search the archives I’m sure it’s been discussed before.

    Cheers
