Importing 2K DPX File Inot FCP and exporting as HD Quicktime
Hi there,
I have just finished editing a 20 min short shot on RED. The film was graded at a post production facility in Colour and I am going to receive a 2K DPX file as well as the audio mix as a Wav.
I am attempting to import the 2K DPX file into FCP [6.0.6] and export as an uncompressed HD quicktime file.
I was wondering if you know if this is possible using FCP 6.0.6? And if I need to download any special plugins etc?

If they’re using Color, then they can render out as an uncompressed QT or as ProRes. Have them deliver that to you instead.
