Imported .MP4 audio out of sync
This is a weird issue…
So I have an .MP4, which is a rip of an old VHS tape… when I just open and watch the file it is perfectly fine. But when I import it into Premiere for editing, and I’m clipping it in the source monitor, the audio is out of sync.
I know the audio in the file is fine, as I can open it and watch it and it is in sync, so why is it off by like a second or two in the editing software and how do I fix it?
Really appreciate anyone who can help me out here… I’m lost…

it could be the frame rate of the footage.
have you placed the footage in the timeline and is the audio still out of sync.? -
How was it captured? And was it captured with a variable frame rate?
