  • Import XDCAM HD from Files Copied from the HD Discs

    hi…

On location i copied all the data from the Sony700 HD Cameras onto my hd. I kept the file structure intact. So i now have an identical copy on hard drive of what is on the HD Discs.

I am trying to import this into FCP 6 using XDCAM HD plug-in but it just says there are no clips!!!

There is about 300gb of data on the drive. All the file structure is in place but every time i point the XDCAM HD plug in to the folders it just comes back saying there are no clips.

We also had an XDCAM EX on the shoot and i used a card reader to duplicate the discs onto my hard drive just as i did with the HD data.

The EX IS importing from the copied data but the HD is not. I’m using the XDCAM HD-plug in for fcp to do this.

We are trying to do this without a deck. Please help.

    thank you …max

    thanks and my best regards…max

    hi…

    I’ve sorted it….

I downloaded the latest version of Sony’s XDCAM HD import plug-in for fcp, which says it requires an Intel Mac and FCP7 on the site, and we are on FCP 6 and a Power PC which is why i had not used tried to use it already, but it installed and then read the clips straight away…TFFT!!!

    No worries….Max

    thanks and my best regards…max
