Hi people, Is there any ipad app which allows me to draw vector images, and then import them as masks/paths/shape layers into After Effects for me to animate. I love working with the ipencil, but all the vector apps I can find export pdf or svg, not ai which can be imported to AE.
I know I could use Adobe Illustrator as a go-between, but that would be adding to the workflow and also to the cost, plus I wouldn’t want to draw on my desktop machine. I tried Adobe Illustrator Draw, but funnily enough, this only exports pdf or svg. Inkpad or Autodesk Graphic don’t seem to do this either.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You can still create shapes from a vector pdf. I’m just not sure how much compatibility you’ll get from any third party generated pdf.

But have you tried the create shapes from path’s command?
