Import Sony DVD camcorder mpg2/ac3 files with Vegas 6
Last week i edit a short movie with all the native footage in mpeg2 (recorded with a Sony DVD camcorder).
At the time i used Premiere Pro. I had never edited with mpeg2 files before because the the GOP structure doesn’t allow precise frame editing. With the Premiere plugin Mainconcept Pro – wich recognize the native Mpeg2 – it doesn’t need no conversion in the import, but the main problem is that Premiere doesn -

Just go to File>Import> Camcorder Disc. Should work no problem.

It does work, but you have to apply Update Patch “6.0C” (or later) in order for it to import from DVD
