    HI…
I am using Motion 1.0.1… My problem is this. I am trying to import Quicktime clips with alpha channel into Motion. I am using clips exported from Digital Juice’s Juicer. The format is Qucktime Animation Millions+. I know the export is correct, because the alpha channel appears in FCP. Is import of quicktime with alpha something that Motion wil not do? I don’t see any specific reference to doing this in the Motion help or manual… help!
    Thanks in advance…

Well it should work..I’ve done it before. Just check your alpha under the media tab (shift-f)

Thanks, Pol, but I’m still having the same problem… You’re right, it should work-that’s why I’m baffled. I also have tried exporting this video clip as an image sequence. In this case, the individual gif or png sequence does appear with the alpha channel in the motion timeline. Ahhh… I’ve been messing with this all day… I’ll just stick to using these transitions in FCP..although I thought it would be convienient to drop these stock transitions right into my Motion projiects instead of jumping back and forth… I still don’t understand where the difficulty lies, seeing as you are able to do it no problem… Maybe someone has an idea what I may be doing wrong?
    thanks,
    Imari
