Why is it that whenever I import something (quicktime movie, animation, etc.) with the compressor settings at Media100HD, the file will not play properly within M100HD? The system chokes on it and I get a real time error message. I can import at any other compressor setting without a problem.

    Running M100HD 10.1.1, G5 Dual 2.5 GHz, 4 GB SDRAM, Rorke Galaxyi 8 array.

    Thanks,

    Tim

Is the data rate too high for your system? Are you using the HD compressor in SD or in HD? If it is HD you probably need a faster array. In the Bins list view, you can display the resolution of your clips to see if they are HD or SD. Press CMD-ALT-M to display the view settings, and turn on “resolution” or something similar.

We just set this array up for dual channel through put and it’s cranking. What kind of throughput would I need? I’ll do a benchmark and let you know what my numbers are.

    Thnks Floh.

If you use HD 1920*1080 @ 10 bit I think you need ~

    I did a benchmark test with Express Stripe and I’m getting Max 239 MB/s, averaging 218 MB/s. I think it’s safe to say it’s not throughput…?
I read about similar problems people were having after switching to 10.1.1.
