Hi, I have imported footage from 6 panasonic P2 in a logging bin (125 clips) in FCP 5.1.4.
So in my bin I have 125 clips. If I view clips by list I can arrange these by Timecode order but if I wont view clips by large icon (to see the first record frame) can I arrange these by time code order or only by duration or name?
    Thank you
    Paolo

In the browser, organize it by list view. Then right click on a column and select “Show Thumbnail.” Now you can organize by timecode and still see the icon.

Is that what you were asking?

Thank Russ, I have a second Vga monitor to see all my P2 clips. The best way is to see all clip as large icon in a right sequence, but if arrange these by Name or duration, the clips sequence is random, so I have, for example, the start of an interview as fisrt icon, and the second part of interview in the middle of other 125 clips.

If you need them organized like that, then I would stick with list view and add the thumbnails as a column.

I would also be re-naming my clips during import to make sure they have names that A) make sense to me so I can find them fast and easy, B) Will order alphabetically as I wish. One method is to put a two or three digit number in front of each name. Remember, in computer (binary), 10 comes before 1, but 001 (or 01) comes before 010 (or 10).
