    Hello,

I shoot a lot of sports with my canon xha1s. I shoot all my games in 1080/30f. What import & export settings should I use to attain high quality HD footage for youtube? Thanks in advance

Capture and edit in HDV 1080 30, then export File > Quicktime Movie using “current settings”.

Take that file and bring it into Compressor and create a h.264 with a bit rate between 4000-6000.

I would disagree and suggest ProRes. HDV is a great acquisition codec but you don’t want to edit with it.

Touche, I definitely agree, just didn’t sound like Troy was too familiar with codecs and what not so I didn’t want to confuse him.
