  Import EDL Comments or Clip Names

  Hi All,

  I’m looking to get information from an EDL into the ‘Comments’ column in the Edit Index (shown below).

  

  Here is an event from the EDL:

  TITLE: EP4 VFX ADD BLOOD TEST
  FCM: NON-DROP FRAME
  000001 B009C012_141106_R45K V C 16:39:16:00 16:39:16:21 10:39:20:22 10:39:21:18
  *CB_1010
  *FROM CLIP NAME: 4.47 317/3
  *LOC: 10:39:20:22 YELLOW MARKER1

  So if it works I would like the ‘Comments’ column to read ‘CB_1010’ for event 1.

  I would like to do this for a VFX workflow.
  I need this info from my avid to create the filename for my DPX files.
  I’ve tried everything but this column remains empty.
  The manual suggests this is possible.
