  • Import DVD made on Pioneer DVR-7000 to edit

I transferred my home videos, originally recorded on VHS to DVD, using a Pioneer DVR-7000. Now I wanted to drag the files into FinalCut Pro to edit and play around with. The DVD shows up on my desktop as a LOGICAL VOLUME IDENTIFIER with a VIDEO_TS folder inside. Inside that folder are a bunch of files which are not read by FC. The DVD plays beautifully on both a standard DVD player and my computer. Were these encoded in some manner when I transferred them? Is there some easy work around? I have transferred 7 VHS tapes so of course I would prefer not having to record them into FC in real time. This is all my original material so I should be able to do anything i would like with it, correct?

    Thanks you.
