Client gave me some recordings from her phone in .amr format.

Sony vegas pro 13 doesn’t recognize them.

Sony soundforge 11 doesn’t recognize them.

They play fine on my quicktime player.

Is there any plug into sony vegas or sound forge to allow the use of these files?

    thanks

There’s a way around this problem. I have used “Virtual audio cable” in the past for similar problems. It will allow you the use a virtual audio cable, connect it to the output of your QuickTime player to the input in Sony Vegas. Start recording audio in vegas, then play the QuickTime player.

[john lenihan] “They play fine on my quicktime player.”

So save them to a different format with QuickTime Player. You need to get the Pro version to do this but for $30 you can just add it to the clients bill. 😉
