Import 16-235 footage
Is there anyway to force Final Cut to import video footage at 0-255 or 16-235? Avid has this feature and I’m surprised that there is nothing similar in Final Cut.

Nope, FCP operates 0-255. You must adjust the rest yourself.
First rule of FCP:
FCP is not Avid.

Try JoesFilters.com. They have a quality levels filter that let’s you remap 0-255 <-> 16-235.
