Hi! I am new to this forum and glad to be here. My issue: I have a few clips I captured from a mini DV camera in iMovie. Because something is up temporarily with my camera, I need to get these clips from iMovie into Final Cut Pro 5. Could someone walk me through this? How to do it? I would be grateful!

The original audio was 12 bit, if that is relevant. iMovie plays this fine, though. The aspect ratio I believe is 16:9.

I would like to have the audio in A1 and A2 in FCP, then I will add an additional audio track I created in Logic 7 (I know how to add that to FCP no prob.)

    Thanks so much.

    Chris

Do you need the clips or the iMovie project output? Right click on the iMovie project file and use Show Package Contents. Go inside the Media folder and copy the media onto your hard drive. Make a new anamorphic 32K DV sequence and edit your iMovie clips into it. Your audio will need to be rendered inside the FCP sequence. Use the Sequence menu to render it to Item Level.

    All the best,

    Tom
