Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Images shake after rendering

Actually, the frame blending doesn’t work anymore, and I don’t know who I was referring to as “The Man” (assuming Lina is a woman), but I did find something that works. I get that shake when I paste attributes, “basic motion” to apply that zoom to a lot of clips. I can get rid of that shake clicking the keyframes on either the beginning or end of each clip up or down a few. Rendering still keeps the smooth image intact. Maybe the keyframes have to be whole numbers, and not 67.32 or something.

Great find. Have had this problem for a long time. Had to compromise esthetics of project to solve the problem…until now. Thanks for sharing. Works perfectly.

I’ve run into this problem trying to edit an SD video with pictures that i’ve ‘ken burnsed’. I’m new to key framing. I have final cut pro 2, I tried to the ‘frame blending’ thing and when i exported the file the bumpy/shaky thing was still there. I don’t understand what you mean by “clicking the key frame up or down a few” how do I do this?
please help i am so frustrated this wedding video is taking over my life

Lets see if i can help you. The adjustments to the key frame that were referred to in an earlier post take place in the viewer window. That would be the first video window. At the top of the viewer window you should see the tabs “Video”, “Stereo”,”Filters” and “Motion”. Click on “Motion”and check out the box to the right of “Scale” to see at what scale the photo or video begins. This is where you set your first key frame(the beginning point of the pan, zoom, etc…you want a whole number here. Sometimes without knowing it you will start the movement at for example..25.32. Round that number up or down to a whole number by clicking on the scale arrow. This has worked for me when I changed the beginning key frame..others have said they must round up or down the end point as well. Try this and then let me know if you have success…or other questions.
    Best of luck

Thank you so much. This solved my problem. I was tearing my hair out because I normally work in HD where the Ken Burns effect renders perfectly, but my SD project rendered shakily and I was running out of time.
