Images rendered in Vegas not coming out like the preview (Blacks too Dark, some other differences)
I’ve got a problem that’s doing my head in, I’ve drawn and coloured a simple picture to put as an intro to a video, In the preview the image looks fine, it looks how my image should look.
As soon as it’s rendered, it’s changed.. Blacks are too black and blot out my lineart, flesh colour became too bright, I have no idea why and I’m having a hard time trying to get any information other than my ATI card might somehow be screwing with the output render. I’ve tested other output formats, they all came out with the same altered coloured image.
I’m using Sony Vegas Pro 10, Windows XP SP3, ATi Radeon HD 5770. Trying to render to a Sony AVC Mp4 of the same resolution as the image and video, 1280×720.
If required I could post the original .PNG of the image I’m trying to use, and a small render of what it looks like after. Not sure where to upload it to however.
Anyone know what I can do to change this short of tediously editing my image to be brighter or darker in places? I really don’t understand why Vegas is editing the image, especially since it’s fine in the preview.
