hello
im new to this post.
but i wondering the best way to import files from adobe illustrator.
i tried using just an AI file and it comes in kind of distorted.
i also try using a targa and that was distorted as well.aslo i have another question of a different topic.
i was wondering how to export my sequences to dvd..i exported
to mpeg 4 and then moved into idvd but it will not allow me to
remove there themes (curtains and other backgrounds) i was told
that i have to my video as a IMG in order to put it on a dvd..i greatly appreciate any help.

i have exported files as hi rez jpegs and also pdfs and it has worked well.
I think if you use iDVD you have to use one of their templates. But you should be able to tweak those pretty well. I’ve personally bene able to do a lot with those and just drag and drop video or images into the windows to create my own presentations. IF you want anything more , you have to go to a program like DVD Pro in order to have complete creative control.
I usually export DV content using “Export as Quicktime Movie” and select DV-NTSC48K. Then you can just choose import in iDVD to bring it in. IF the video is too large to bring it in as DVNTSC 48, then maybe try the Apple’s Compressor 2 (if you have it) to limit the file size. There’s many option there.

Are they CMYK? They should be RGB

yeah, make sure they are RGB and it should fix it. Also if you get any flickering or image instability, try using the flicker filter or deinterlacing filter in Final Cut Pro effects…
