Image skips when I play sequence back full screen.
(I’ve put all the specs of footage & computer below)

I’m guessing this is a RAM problem.
    However I’m not sure if I need to increase RAM . . . . OR . . . . do i need to increase V-RAM . . . OR . . . . is it a video card . . . . or a combination???
Or is a totally different issue???

    Here’s what happens:
The motion skips when played in the sequence window full screen.
I import the clips and put them in a sequence with settings that match the raw footage.
When played in the viewer window the motion does not skip.
Motion does not skip in the sequence window if the sequence window is small.
When I play the raw clips in Quicktime (full screen) there is no skipping.
When I export something from the sequence timeline and play it in Quicktime full screen there is no skipping.

So, is my guess about RAM / V-RAM / Video Card correct??
If so which one is it (RAM, V-RAM or Card) & what can I do about it??
The owner has a Kona 3 card lying around . . . will this solve the problem??
If so can I put it in myself . . . or is it something we should hire a tech to do??

I’m importing clips shot on a Cannon MarkII.

The issue of trying to use a non edit codec like H264 in FCP has been covered here so many times.

Do a search for Canon 5D and the correct workflow will be revealed.
