    I am trying to export some image sequences using the export quicktime conversion menu. The footage is HDV1080i and therefore 16×9. The export result gives me a 4×3 (squished) ratio result. I am betting that I am missing something pretty easy. Thanks in advance.

    It is much easier to bring the QT movie in to AE, then render an image sequence from there.

    You will get better quality as well.
