Image Quality Problem
The image quality of the project i’m working isn’t very good. I thought, at first, it was how I captured it but I have the same problem with imported graphics and titles made in FCP. Here’s a photo example of my project:

As I often say here, this is a business of precision, in order to get any useful help you need to tell us what video format you’re editing. I’m guessing DV. Is it by chance DV?

No problem! So, try this… Click on Sequence — Settings and where it says Quicktime Video Settings, change the dropdown to Apple ProRes 422 (HQ is not necessary). Then, re-render your timeline. What you’re doing is that you’re not compressing your pristine graphics using the horrible DV codec. Instead they will be compressed using the much better and much deeper color space of ProRes.

Thanks David. I tried that and I don’t have that option. I was set to Uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2. The only Apple options are Apple Intermediate Codec and Apple Pixlet Video. By the way, I am using FC Studio Version 1.

So you’re saying that 10-bit unc didn’t help? How are you monitoring? If its just on a computer monitor you won’t be able to judge properly.

Jeeze Rafael, since you returned from that heli shoot you sound like a totally different person. I think the real Rafael must have been abducted by aliens and you’re one of those people who grew out of a pod.
I’m glad you and your pola filter survived the experience despite all the hairy arms that got in your way. BTW, was the EX able to handle the macro focus necessary to capture the hairs of the still photographer in all their glory?
