    Hello Guys!

I’m doing a project on Adobe Premiere CS3 and I’m having problems viewing the image on the Source & Program monitor. The image is always jumping frames, seems that my laptop doesn’t have power to support AP. But It’s a Intel Pentium with 1,70GHz, 2GB of ram, 20GB free on my HD internal and 270GB on the external.
I changed the quality to draft on the wing menu and disabled the external devise on playback settings but it didn’t make any difference.
Do you have any ideia what it could be?

    Thank you,

    Alexandre Ardigo

Are you perhaps trying to edit MPEG files?

    Cheers

    No, only avi format

AVI can use an MPEG based codec for the video. Please use something like GSpot to tell us what codec is being used.

I’d guess the video card on the MB can’t handle the video bandwidth. Or the hard drive is full and the AVIs are fragmented….

    Hi Guys,

I used GSspot and it says dvsd. The size of the video card is 64MB, I don’t know if it matters.
The internal hard drive is half full and all my AVI files are on the external.

Copy a few of the clips to your internal drive and create a new test project and try to duplicate the problem.

    Cheers
