Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Image out of Focus, Can I fix this ?

    Apply the ‘unsharp mask’ filter. Play with the radius and amount until it looks the best. It won’t look as good as a well focused shot, but it will improve it quite a bit. Be careful not to overdo it.

    Soften all around the edges, the center will look sharp in comparison, and people will assume you did it on purpose.

    can this be done in prem pro? So there looks as though theres a depth of field? without taking it to after fx and masking etc.

    It is certainly easier in AE. But yes, you could use a 16 point garbage matte to animate a track matte. And then blur the heck out of it to get softer edges. It would require nested sequences. But yes, you could do it in Premiere Pro.
