  • Image looks bad on camera movement

Posted by Chad Ashton on February 21, 2007 at 5:09 am

I have imported a psd file into after effects 720×486. Image looks great until I make camera zoom in or out then the image ripples during the movement of the camera. What do I need to do to make image not do that during camera zoom.

    Thanks

What do you mean by zoom? Scaling the image? Really zooming with a 3D camera? anyway, your resolution is insufficient when you zoom in. you probably need to work with much larger resolutions.

Sound like you are seeing pixels….this is normal if you are indeed scaling or moving closer to the image with a camera. As Milenium suggested, try working with higher res originals.

the image is 720×480 with 72 dpi. I tried with fields on, lower first and it came out great.

chad .. the problem is when you zoom or scale the image you loosing the quality.
as Mylenium & mark said you have to use the same image with hight resolution.
