    Hi all,

I received some images shot with a prosumer HD camera for editing in Final Cut Pro 7. They are 1920×1080 pixel aspect square, upper field. There is a jittering in the lower half of the screen. I tried various plug-ins in FCP with no improvement.

Here is a link to my image if you’d like to take a look.

I appreciate all the help I get on this forum! Randy

At first blush, this faintly resembles the “rubber”-cam that you sometimes get when stabilizing seriously whip-lashed footage. The bottom of the frame doesn’t match the top geometrically, because the “scan” is temporally displaced. Handheld to start with, you can try a Smoothcam, but I’m betting the bottom will never match the top, because the imaging device is continuously rotating and translating. Originating format is…..??? an H264 Long-GOP HDSLR???
