    Hi,
any recomendations to remove flickering from a still? I have tried the image flicker in FCP, as well as all de-interlace variations in FCP and the original PSD file.

I’m not really quite sure what else to do. The image is about 3000 x 2200 pixels, and I am using it at 80% scale in FCP. any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Terry

Try a .5 blur. You have to rough up (blur) the image for interlace. To much fine detail can cause that shimmer. I use After Effects to get a better result but it will still harminize with centain monitors to shimmer.

    Terry,

That image is too big. reduce it to say half at 72 dpi and it will help the flickering. The gaussian blur thing will help too. Also, PanzoomPro from Lyric is a great pic in pic tool, and it has built in flicker removal.
