    Hi all,
I’m working with a new 2019 iMac running Catalina 3.6 Ghz 8 core Intel core 9, 16 G memory ,Radeon Pro 575X 4 GB. It seems to perform a little more sluggishly than I would have expected in Resolve for things like selecting all, renaming, and moving files or making a bin into a timeline in the Media panel. I click on the command, wait 5 seconds, and it maybe excutes. Or I wait 2 seconds then watch the beach ball for a while. Even loading Resolve seems a little slow. No better than my 2017 2.2 MHz Airbook with 8 G RAM on Mojave. Restoring from auto backups on the internal fusion drive took forever
    Is this normal?
Related: how do I know Resolve is doing anything or if the beach ball will ever stop?
Is this computer not powerful enough for Resolve? I wonder if any of this relates to my Firewire 800 drives and TB2 hub? Am I doing something (or many things) wrong?
    Thanks,
    Robert
