iMac running AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5
Hi Folks
I’m going to purchase a new i7 iMac and can’t decide if I should buy the AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GDDR5 upgrade. Will I have any issues running MC? Are there advantages? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You really need to check out the Macintosh specifications before you forge ahead… The card we tested and approve with this system si the ATI Radeon HD 57500. No ide what you might experience if you go another route.

The 5750 is not available in the i7 iMac. Avid always seems to be a generation or two behind in their specs. The 6870 should work fine as it uses the same drivers as the 5750 – just has way more hardware power. I’d opt for the 2 GB version just to future proof your purchase a bit more.
