I’m looking to purchase an iMac for an assistant editor to use on a compressed HD project and just looking for some advice on its configuration. I’ve looked over the requirements but the only thing I’m unsure about is which iMac config to get based on the video card. Also as far as connecting to drives, is the best connection offered by an iMac the single fw800?
    Thanks

    Greetings,
If your set on an iMac I’d look at the 24″ 3.06 ghz with the GForce GT130 Video card. To address the drive connection there is only 1 firewire 800 the rest are USB so the firewire would be best there you might look at the G-Raid3 series.
    Hope this helps a bit
