I have a G5, FCP HD, an AJA io, and two Ocean Matrix switchers to switch between my DSR-1500 DV deck and UVW-1800 Beta deck.
I’m running a component signal from both decks into the switcher then into the AJA io. I’m also doing DV50 NTSC.
This settup has been working fine, both mechanically and visually, but today I tried capturing from the Beta deck and the upper two-thirds of the capture window is green and the lower third is pixilated pink and yellow lines. The cables are all correct, and I trashed and reloaded the preferences and they are correct. The settings have worked fine up until today. I’m stumped.

    Hi Mike

Out of interest, when you capture something, does the captured clip look normal, or does it also have these coloured artefacts?

I had assumed that the captured picture would be the same artifacts I saw in the window, so when you asked the question, I went in and called up log and capture, and surpriseingly, all was back to normal, even though I didn’t change anything, the picture comes through fine. For how long, I don’t know. I had tried everything I could think of before and nothing doing.
    I’m still puzzled.

    the best, Mike
