Have you looked at the Voice Over listed in the product manual? also the built-in Help in Ppro?

read the manual – find tutorials online (wrigley video) maybe buy one of those Classroom in a Book books.

I did the total training DVD for Premiere Pro 1.5 which was a great help. Worth the money if you cannot figure it out from books and practice.

Learn some keyboard commands, which you can customize in the Edit… menu – save a lot of mouse clicking.

If you have specific questions the COW forums are great, but if you are too vague you will not get anything.

Howard, I just did some “Premiere Pro Basics” tutorials for a friend of mine, and would be more than happy to pass them on to you. Just need to figure out if I can e-mail them to you or ftp them or something. In the meantime, what is your mic set-up for recording a voice over? Are you just going into the computer mic in jack, or are you going to be using a mixer with a firewire or USB connection?

Cal, Thanks for offering the tutorials. You can email them to me.
I will be connecting the mic directly to the mic input jack. I also thought about recording it on my XL1, then importing the video and the audio then extracting the audio. Is this possible, or am I going through too much steps?
