Illustrator outlines won’t paste in AE
So I wanna make an animated sign (similar to Eran Sterns Aftervista) and I write something in Illustrator, make outlines, copy it and go to AE. I create new solid and paste option won’t even show up (yeah, solid IS selected).
I’ve checked all necessary things (AICB) and it still doesn’t work.
Both applications are CS3.

This has happened to me on more than one occassion and the only way I’ve ever gotten it to work again is shut down and reboot up. Opening and closing the applications doesn’t fix it. Not sure why…
